Solid Maple, Stainless Steel
2022
Boring Stool explores the idea that good design does not need to rely on visual impact alone. Its character is revealed through a carefully considered assembly system. Composed of six parts, including a central metal connector, the stool can be assembled with twelve screws only when the seat and legs are joined in a specific sequence. This concealed construction transforms an otherwise familiar object into a small moment of discovery. Through the project, I wanted to show that even the most ordinary designs can contain unexpected ingenuity and encourage users to approach everyday objects with curiosity.
